Hi, I'm Claire, a Halifax-based photographer.  My life revolves around film school, photography, sailing, running, dogs and music.

 

Only a year and a half ago, I bought my first DSLR and started growing as a photographer.  I chose to invest my time in a film program at the Nova Scotia Community College, where I am gaining the skills I need to work on film sets, as well as knowledge in the technical side of cameras and lighting.  Over the past year, I have been doing a variety of photography work from stills photography on local short films, event photography for non-profit organizations, as well portraits of individuals, couples, groups, animals and nature.

 

My main focus as a photographer is to capture real moments and the true character of my subjects.   I do not own or have access to a studio, so all my work is typically done outdoors with minimal amount of lights and set up.  I have an eye for colour and enjoy working with the natural lighting along side my LED pannel.  I shoot in RAW and do most of my editing on Photoshop (Camera RAW).  Considering that I am still new to the industry my rates are affordable.
